Senn's Chess Team was recently awarded several Chicago High School Championships and won a United States Chess Championship in January, 2000. The team regularly places among the top three Chicago high schools. Interested students can join by contacting Mr. Nichols. All team members must display the character and determination necessary to play chess. Students who commit to extended practice have won awards and scholarships.

Senn Chess Club (casual players) - approximately 35 students

Senn Chess Team (competitive team players) - approximately 15 students
