This group encourages students to voice their opinions on a diverse group of topics, and more importantly, act upon those opinions. The focus of United Senn Students depends on what the group wants to do. For example, we have worked with U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky to obtain more resources for Senn.
Social consciousness is developed by becoming more socially and politically aware. Students discuss topics they think are unjust in the local, national, or global community. They then formulate an action plan to alleviate these injustices, which might include speaking with community members or elected officials about issues.
