Have fun while learning! The African-American Club focuses on learning about the African-American experience in the United States from the Middle Passage to the societal role African-Americans play now and the one they will play well into the 21st century and beyond.
Club members will read and discuss literature, take culturally-focused field trips, and present a school-wide assembly every February to commemorate African-American Heritage Month.
In this production students will share their knowledge and highlight the achievements and contributions that African-Americans have made in our society. Students will share their history and cultural heritage with the Senn High School family through song, dance poetry and drama.
All students are welcome to participate in this club. For more information, see Mrs. Roby any day after school.
