The Indo-Pak Cultural club has a very diverse membership which represents Senn's student population. Club members discuss social and cultural similarities and conflicts between America and their countries and learn to appreciate and celebrate those similarities and differences. Students also help promote awareness of the Indo-Pak culture to students and faculty at Senn.
Club members perform community service by collecting and donating food and clothing to Apna Ghar, an organization for poor and needy women of Asian descent and by participating in community events.
The Club actively promotes the United Nation's Millennium Development goals--Millennium Campaign 2015. We invite guests from the Chicago Youth for the Millennium Development and discuss ways to spread awareness of the Millenium Campaign. We perform various service learning projects to support the UN's goals for improving the quality of life in developing countries.
Club members do other things as well. We see movies, do art projects, and participate in the annual International Festival and Asian-American Heritage Month celebration.
The Indo-Pak Cultural Club is open to all students. Some Indo-Pak Club activities award service learning hours. To join, just come to a meeting or see Mrs. Garg in her room after school.
