Peer Mediation is a student-led program that provides a safe and confidential space for students who are in conflict to talk through their problems. The goal of the program is to help students solve their internal and external conflicts, as well as to take accountability for their actions in a positive way. Mediations are facilitated by students, but there is always an adult in the room.
Students earn service learning hours by becoming peer mediators. Peer mediators meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays during school, in addition to occasional training sessions after school. Mediators also have opportunites throughout the school year to go on field trips. Feel free to contact the sponsors listed above if you have any questions or would like additional information.
