Transfer Information
Senn High School will consider the following transfer requests:
- Current Senn 9th and 10th grade students may request a transfer to our IB Diploma Prep or IB Diploma Programmes
- Consideration will be given to students who qualify academically
- Transfer approval will also be contingent upon the availability of space in the IB cohort
- Current 9th grade Senn students may request a transfer into one of our Magnet Arts programs (Visual, Dance, Music, or Theatre Arts)
- Transfer consideration will be contingent upon the availability of space in the Arts cohort
- If space is available, students must schedule and complete an audition
- Students must also qualify academically in order to be considered eligible for a transfer
- Any student who resides within Senn's attendance boundary may request a transfer into Senn. We are unable to admit students after January of 9th grade who do not reside in our attendance boundary.
In order to consider any transfer request, we require the following information:
- Name of the program into which you would like to transfer (IB Diploma/Prep, Visual, Dance, Music, or Theatre Arts, or General program)
- CPS ID number (if applicable)
- Full transcripts including most recent grades
- All standardized test scores/reports
- Parent/guardian name and contact information
- Proof of address
- Disciplinary record (if applicable)
- Written explanation of the reason for the transfer request
