DP Prep Course of Study

The 9th and 10th grade curriculum is designed to meet both state/district graduation requirements as well as the requirements of the International Baccalaureate. Students are required to take courses in Language A (in the U.S., English), Math, Science, Individuals & Societies, Language Acquisition (World Language), Physical & Health Education, the Arts, and Technology. The honors and Advanced Placement level of the courses offered at Senn are designed to prepare freshman and sophomore students for the academic rigor of the IB Diploma Programme.

In addition to the coursework outlined below, all MYP students must complete a Personal Project in their 10th grade year.

The typical sequence of courses is listed below. A document outlining the vertical alignment of skills and content for the Peirce-Senn MYP continuum is linked at the bottom of this page.
