Senn Arts Theatre Audition Requirements:

The Senn Arts Theatre audition will be a live Google Meet session.

Students will be asked to prepare the following:

Monologue:

Memorize and perform a monologue roughly one minute in length. Students may select a monologue of their choosing or use one of the provided monologues attached below. Students are only required to perform only ONE monologue. A variety of styles have been provided ranging from comedic to dramatic. Students should select a monologue they feel comfortable performing, can emotionally connect with, and demonstrates their individual talent.

Auditioning students will be evaluated on the following categories when performing their monologue: focus, concentration, commitment, believability, interpretation of material, and vocal and physical expression. Memorization is strongly encouraged!

Interview:
Your audition will include a short interview where we will discuss your academic and artistic goals, your interest and commitment to theatre, the collaborative process, and the Senn Arts Theatre program.

Here are some prompts that you can prepare to answer:

  1. What prior theatre training have you received?
  2. Tell us about any theatre performances you have participated in.
  3. Tell us why you want to enroll in a theatre program and tell how you see yourself using theatre or skills you learn in theatre classes in the future.
