Incoming 9th Graders

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN SENN HIGH SCHOOL!

Admission to Senn High School is governed by the GoCPS application process (www.go.cps.edu). Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are open in the rolling waitlist until January 2026. Students interested in applying as 9th graders for the 2026-27 school year can do so from September 23, 2025 - November 14, 2025. 

If you have questions about the Go CPS process, we will be hosting an information session for all families from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday September 27th.

If you want to learn more about Senn, we are hosting the Network 2 High School fair from 5 pm to 7 pm on October 9th and our own open house on October 19th from 10:30 am to 1 pm. Both will be great opportunities to take a tour and speak to students, staff and parents. Come learn about why Money Inc ranked us 9th best high school in the City of Chicago. 

Students who live within Senn's attendance boundary (check the CPS School Locator) are granted guaranteed offers through our General Education pathway. All students, regardless of application type, become part of our IB Middle Years Programme in 9th. Following 10th grade, students can apply for our IB Diploma or IB Career-related Programmes through an internal admission process if interested.
